These little ladies are the best of friends.
They also happen to be cousins. Just 8 months apart.
When we lived with my parents for 11 months last year, these two spend almost 4 days of every week together. And they still couldn’t get enough of each other.
There’s nothing quite like belly laughs between friends on your birthday.
Throw in a little rock jumping, and you have a recipe for delight!
Why have they “Ghana” wild, you may ask?
{besides the fact that they now only get to see each other about once a month}
Well, because their auntie “Poo” {my baby sister} had these gorgeous little dresses custom made for them while she was in Ghana, of course.
She’s expressive. And easily excited.
{I have no idea where she gets it from}
She also happens to love cake.
She’s even down with sharing the cake throne.
And the cake…?
A tribute to my mom; inspired by the Kewpie dolls she would stick in our cakes, year after year, and delight our chubby little cheeks with.
It’s also a farewell of sorts.
And a hint at what will be featured in our birthday cake world from here on out…
Goodbye conventional birthday cakes…hello cake pops.
Come to momma!
