If you give a {city} girl a {country} garden,
she’s probably going to want to grow some vegetables in it.
You’ll buy a slew of veggie seeds,
and she’ll want some juicy fruit to go with it. So you’ll buy her a watermelon plant.
When the watermelon starts to grow, she’ll start to make big plans for it’s future. Which will remind her that she too has plans for the {near} future. But she’ll promptly forget.
The growing melon plant will also remind her of how much she loves {green} curlies.
While thinking of her fondness for all things curly, she’ll recall her love for polka dots.
She’ll find the pink polka dot ribbon she’s been saving for the perfect project, and then remember her big sister’s baby shower {aaah, yes…the plans!}.
Which will prompt a call to her mum. While on the phone with the mum, she’ll suddenly recall the fruit tray she promised to provide for the shower.
While writing her shopping list for the promised fruit tray, she’ll remember the growing watermelon.
On the way to the garden to retrieve said melon, she’ll notice how curly the plant’s tendrils are. Then she’ll want to break out her curly green wire.
While searching for the green squiggly things, she’ll find her polka dot ribbon. She’ll probably want to use the pink polka dot ribbon for her sister’s shower.
Her sister’s shower will once again remind her of the promised fruit tray. And chances are, if she asked you to plant her her very own garden, she’s going to want to show that melon off!
{aaaaaw, isn’t she sweet?!?}
