Why? Because God, in His relentless pursuit of my heart, plucked me up from the dry, dusty ground, took me in, and washed {okay, scrubbed} all the superficial junk off me. I should note, however, that He is far from finished with this tedious crap-removal process.
He then carefully cut my top off {sort of like spiritual open heart surgery} and scooped out a lot of the yucky stuff I’d been harboring and allowing to fester for many, many years.
He then started the slow, steady process of removing the seeds of doubt, shame, insecurity, self-hatred, promiscuity and jealously from my core.
He carved a new, albeit quirky, grin on my mug and placed His marvelous light inside of me for all the world to see.
See? I’m kinda like a pumpkin. Told you!
