For the past several years, writing has become more and more
a source of a delight to me,
stirring up both passion and excitement,
and deep reflection and heart-naked vulnerability.
I write as an outlet.
An escape from the constant demands of this life.
As a record of the little lives growing up fast before my eyes.
As proof that once a week or so, something I cook turns out surprisingly well.
That complete madness hovers precariously around the corner and occasionally manifests in disturbing poetic forms.
And as a way of allowing God to use my
broken, messy life to encourage others and remind them of His faithfulness.
And now… I’ll get to write a little more.
Tomorrow {Sunday, December 19th}, my first piece for
Dayspring’s {in}courage…”home for the hearts of women”… will be published.
And I’m absolutely tickled pink at the thought.
I’d be tickled pinker if you hopped over there and read it {just sayin’}.
Is “pinker” even a word?
It’s a dream come true…just in time for Christmas.
You’ll find my contribution here.
