I survived completed my first week of my battle plan.
My living room/office was first on the list…and it’s looking deliciously organized and uncluttered. I have yet to delve into the kids toy chest, but it’ll happen soon {stealthily, while we play, I’ll be off-loading things into a Goodwill box and garbage bags. Mwah ha ha ha!}.
It’s been fun watching the kids get into Spring cleaning fever.
And, oh yes, in case you’re laughing jealous…I did…{sweepy slippers, microfiber mitt…the works, baby!!}
We’ve eaten really well this week! It’s rather ridiuclous how excited I get watching my kids slurp fruit and yogurt smoothies and munch on raw green beans, broccoli and bell peppers. What can I say, I’m a sugar nazi.
{by the way…a great veggie dip I discovered by accident: garlic powder, salt, all the herbs in your spice cupboard – especially dill – thrown into plain yogurt…delish and healthy!}
I actually feel really good. I got a lot accomplished. And we’re off to a good start!
However, while my kitchen smelled like all the gloriousness of a coffee shop this morning {thanks to my coffee connoisseur hubby}, I’m trying to figure out what it was exactly that I was smoking when I decided it would be a good idea to give up coffee and the majority of my daily tea intake. For 3 months. Poop.
12 weeks until I hit 30. Yippee!
I’ve made a point to read more. And facebook less. Play more. And “frittle” less. Sleep more. Shout less. Be more gracious and patient. And less “prickly”.
Growing is good!
Having been “thrown” into this worship leadership thing over the past few months has certainly helped me carve out more Jesus time in the midst of the scurry. Always a beautiful thing!
And on that note…we just got home from church, and I must say, watching my hubby preach was incredible sexy. So I’m off to take care of that other little thing on my list {ahem}.
