Happy June, friends!
I can’t believe we’re almost halfway through 2011. It’s true what “they” say…the days are long, but the years are short!
Boy, is this truth hitting home as I examine the incredible length of my little’s ones legs today and tuck away more clothes that are suddenly too small for their growing bods. It’s astounding. Wasn’t I just pregnant with one of them?
The knowledge that I turn 30 in less than 2 weeks is also wildly sobering. In the best way possible. How the years fly by!
Oh, that I would master the art of living in the moment.
That I would learn to be fully present…to soak up every teachable moment, every precious opportunity to hold my growing babes, every chance I get to love on the people I come in contact with.
To cultivate an attitude of gratitude.
To really live. Fully. Right where I am.
As my blog header implies, it is my heart’s desire to learn to live this way…”to bloom where I’m planted, poop and all”. Which is why my heart practically leapt from my chest when a precious friend gifted this book to me {deliciously early} for my birthday. It’s the book by beautiful Ann Voskamp, One Thousand Gifts. The one I’ve been itching to get my hands on since I heard of it’s existence.
And the time has come.
With June’s arrival, and my last book finished, I leave you with this month’s desktop wallpaper so I can slip away and soak up some sun…and the first few pages of this treasure. Enjoy! {I know I will}
