As berry season forges on, full throttle, I couldn’t help but give this quick {and anti-oxidant packed} dessert a whirl!
As easy as it is to make, eager little hands actually make great helpers on this one, and the catching and devouring of runaway berries is welcomed too!
We’ve become big fans of pulling the last-minute strawberry shortcake card when we’re hosting unexpected company. This is simply an embellishment of that staple.
If we don’t have a box of Bisquick hiding somewhere in the forgotten-about crevices of our cluttered cupboards, my husband has become a Kitchen Aid guru and can slap up homemade biscuits faster than you can find our naked children’s clothes. As if he wasn’t dreamy enough already.
Seeing we almost always have some sort of fresh berry in our fridge, it’s a match made in heaven!
I won’t insult your intelligence and ability to read the side of the biscuit box by giving you a recipe for this little lip-smacker, but I couldn’t not share the gloriousness of it’s simplicity with you!
And just look at that thing…isn’t it just so pretty and bursting with color?!? A crowd pleaser, indeed!
So go bake some biscuits…load them with fresh berries, and squirt entirely too much cream on it for your own good.
You can thank me later.
P.S. We’re going blueberry picking next week and I have some incredible recipes I’ve been dying to try and share! There’s a good chance one of them involves turning fresh berries into dried fruit roll-ups, and the other might possibly involve combining blueberries with lemon to make mouth-watering cupcakes. Or maybe not.
