I’m home. The retreat was fabulous {or at least I thought it was…and I didn’t put anyone to sleep}.
Our 1st annual church harvest party was a blast…we broke in our new fire pit, took 17 people on a hayride behind my hubby’s sexy tractor, taste tested 8 different pots of chili, sipped hot cider with entirely too much whipped cream and caramel, and laughed as kids and adults alike ate little donuts from strings on our washing line.
It is sure to be the first of many such events.
It was a whirlwind of a weekend, that’s for sure!
And while I have yet to find my head, I did find this little gem…
{A precious friend’s new wee babe I got to shoot a couple of weeks ago}
This is her third baby boy…3 boys, 3 and under.
She saves loads of money with coupons and has an awe-inspiring pantry.
She paints bathroom walls fresh new colors…days after giving birth.
She randomly sends me texts instructing me to jump my husband.
We once spent an entire {wild & free, before children} new year’s day in bed watching ‘Dirty Jobs’ and ‘Myth Busters’ reruns, stuffing our faces with party spoils, while our husbands watched football in the next room.
She encourages me. Challenges me. Makes me laugh out loud. And loves me, in spite of me.
And she wears footy pajamas in the Winter.
Seriously. What’s not to love?!
