Despite the chill and whippy wind, our littles had a glorious morn with friends and baby animals. And a wagon ride. And, lest we forget the food, pizza.
What’s not to love?
We trekked out to a little family-owned petting farm where we got to lay eyes on the most darling 4 day old lambs and 2 day old {pygmy} kids. The kids parents had so much fun.
I was rather tempted to stuff a wee billy goat in my coat pocket and run, but decided otherwise. Might ruin my witness, you know.
So instead I fed goats with my knees {awkward story} and instructed Bug to sit down another 327 times and stop poking the horse in the eye.
Little kids. Little-r animals. Perfect lighting. There’s a slight chance I got trigger happy.
Speaking of *bunnies…
I’m off to try my hand at marzipan. Random segue, I know, but it’s my delightful daddy’s birthday on Saturday…and there’s just no better time to give this odd almond-ey paste a whirl {he’s loved it for as long as I’ve known him…which is almost 64 years…and most likely, much longer}. And…speaking of *bunnies…we have a few sacrificial {leftover chocolate} bunnies we plan to melt down and slather it with.
Woah mama. How can you go wrong with almonds and chocolate?
