Remember these fabulous, squishy little things we ‘grew’ a while back?
Well, we felt we could knock it up a notch by putting food coloring to good use {rather than, you know, adding neurotoxins to our food) and adding a pop of color to these little gems.
Instead of soaking the water beads {I got ours on Amazon} in clear water, simply soak them in glasses filled with water that have a few drops of different shades of food coloring in them.
Voila! In a matter of hours you have bouncy, beautiful baubles of kiddie bliss.
Not to mention parental therapy – go ahead and plunge your hands into the bowl…it’s amah-zing!
These beads are a ton of fun and are not too shabby to look at either.
We made these about 6 weeks ago and still have them sitting in a tupperware in about a cup of water. While the colors have all merged to a muted sea blue-green, the marbles are still plump and full…and provide endless fun on those days when we’re stuck inside for fear of freezing little appendages off.
