We’re just days away from a brand spankin’ new year, friends, and it’s good to be alive!
And warm.
It’s been über chilly up in these parts – a record high, I hear – and the snow and ice have been relentless in their coating of branches, roofs and small creatures who care not for numb toes and frozen noses.
I was asked a few times last year whether I was planning on doing more desktop wallpaper, and while I had no legitimate reason or excuse why I wasn’t, the months just kept creeping up on me and I didn’t feel I had many great photos to choose from.
So…along with boycotting refined sugar again and attempting to shed these winter pounds, I’m committing to be more intentional about taking creative, artistic photos this year…and to turn them into desktop wallpaper for you…and it just so happens that ice makes for some spectacular shots.
Here’s one of my favorites, and no…it’s not cock-eyed, the wind was just strong enough to blow the icicles at an angle…
Simply click on the calendar size you need below, once loaded, right-click and save the image, then save it as your desktop wallpaper. Voila! Icy berries right before your eyes.

And while this next one was taken on my phone – so the quality isn’t fantastic – the fact that the ice crystals are actually visible just takes my breath away…
Simply click on the calendar size you need below, once loaded, right-click and save the image, then save it as your desktop wallpaper. Magic! Snow-encrusted branches right before your very eyeballs.

And there you have it, folks…the first of what I hope to provide a consistent slew of in this next year.
Blessings to you and yours in 2014…may it prove to be your favorite year yet!
