It is undeniably Winter in these parts; the days seem to be getting shorter and chillier by the minute, and the Christmas spirit is in full swing – although if we made that assessment based on when glittered holiday décor hit craft stores, we’d declare this in September.
With the windows tightly closed and the woodstove fired up, we’ve been serving up this delectable baked oatmeal to add a little warmth and sweetness to our mornings, and these bad boys are just begging to be whipped up. And then there were candied cinnamon almonds which, thanks to an “ice day” off school last week, never made it to their intended teachers. Goodness, and these. Oh, and then there’s those little gingerbread people who at least deserve to be given a chance at life. Albeit a short, delicious uneventful one.
Oh, holy sugar coma.
‘Tis the season, after all, to fire up the oven…and loosen the waistband. Good thing a brand spankin’ new {sugar free?} year is just around the corner. Lord help me.
I am thankful that the dragging up of these greatly anticipated Christmas totes from the crawl space has somewhat detracted from the shameless unearthing of stretchy pants and baggy sweaters.
Christmas decorations. And Christmas pudding padding. Aaaah…
Since creating a little entranceway & mudroom in our family room last month, I’ve been giddy at the thought of finally having a surface to decorate with seasonal tchotchkes.
And actually having a surface to display the printables I can’t seem to stop creating. It’s a disease, I fear, but I do believe I’ve found my happy place in the blogosphere.
The “mudway” storage addition is like the mantle I never had. I love it!
And here it is, folks…the free printable of the week.
